Food is one of the simplest tools we have for supporting the body's own healing process. Lean protein and colorful, fiber-rich vegetables — like the combination below — help fight the chronic inflammation that's linked to joint pain, digestive trouble, and headaches, the same issues we treat every day at Asa Wellness Center. Swapping in a sheet-pan meal like this one for heavily processed food is a small, practical step toward reducing inflammation and supporting your chiropractic and functional medicine care between visits.

Chicken Recipe

Here is a simple recipe for making chicken and vegetables:

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast (cut into pieces)

  • Assorted vegetables (such as bell peppers, broccoli, zucchini, carrots, etc.)

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper

  • Seasonings of your choice (such as garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Chop the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

  3. In a bowl, toss the chicken and vegetables with olive oil, salt, pepper, and your choice of seasonings.

  4. Spread the chicken and vegetables evenly on a baking sheet or in a baking dish.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Feel free to customize this recipe by adding your favorite herbs, spices, or sauces to enhance the flavor. You can also experiment with different combinations of vegetables to suit your taste preferences.

Please note that cooking times may vary depending on the size and thickness of the chicken pieces and the type of vegetables used. It's always a good idea to check the chicken for doneness by ensuring it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Enjoy your homemade chicken and vegetables!
